About EASIG

EASIG Leading the Way…

Established in 2019, the East Africa Internet Governance School (EASIG) builds regional capacity to navigate complex internet policy and governance. While East Africa is experiencing rapid digital growth, significant gaps remain in areas like cybersecurity, data protection, and digital inclusion. EASIG bridges these gaps by empowering a diverse pool of experts, including youth, women, the judiciary, and law enforcement, to lead digital policy deliberations globally.

Our Mission To build a sustained community of practice across East Africa that informs policy, drives inclusive digital development, and upholds human rights online.
