The East African School on Internet Governance (EASIG) 2024 is to bring together emerging leaders, policymakers, technical experts, academia, civil society and private-sector stakeholders from across East Africa for an intensive programme on internet governance.

To be held on 10th September 2024 in Kampala, Uganda, the programme will provide participants with practical knowledge and skills to better understand and contribute to internet governance processes at national, regional and global levels.

The programme covers key areas including internet governance and multi-stakeholderism, policy and law, human rights online, data protection and privacy, cybersecurity, digital inclusion, infrastructure, platform governance and emerging technologies.

Through expert-led sessions, interactive discussions, practical exercises and multi-stakeholder engagement, participants will explore the opportunities and challenges shaping East Africa’s digital future.

EASIG 2024 will strengthen regional capacity and networks and promote a secure, open, inclusive and rights-respecting digital environment for East Africa.
